Dignitas to cease CSGO operations
Dignitas has announced the closure of their CS:GO division. The team's players have become free agents.
Dignitas was one of the first eSports clubs to have lineups back in CS 1.6. The club has had several iterations of lineups in CS:GO, with the organization having already suspended CS:GO activities in 2018 and disbanding players in exactly the same way.
The backbone of the new CS:GO team was signed in 2020 - f0rest, friberg, hallzerk, GeT_RiGhT and Xizt. HEAP and Lekr0 later replaced GeT_RiGhT and Xizt in the lineup.
The team failed to achieve any significant results during its existence. In particular, Dignitas could not qualify for any of the Majors. The club announced that for the time being it has no plans to assemble a new lineup "for the foreseeable future".
