ESL One Malaysia with $400,000 at Stake Announced

ESL have revealed that the next Dota 2 event of the ESL One series will be played in Malaysia. The event is scheduled for August 23rd – 28th and will feature 12 teams competing for a $400,000 prize pool.

The final three days of event will take place at the Arena of Stars in the Genting Highlands resort, a 6,000 venue that hosted ESL One Genting in 2017 and 2018. The organizers have not revealed any of the participants yet, but we know that seven of them will receive direct invites, while the other five will make it through the regional qualifiers in China, Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and South America.

This will be the first ESL One event since last August and the first LAN-event of the series since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic – after the cancellation of ESL One Birmingham 2020 the series was held online only.
