The organizers of FISSURE PLAYGROUND #1 have announced the invited teams for the tournament. Eleven clubs received direct invites: BB Team, PVISION, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Team Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, Gaimin Gladiators, Tundra Esports, Aurora Gaming, Shopify Rebellion, and HEROIC. The invited teams will join five regional qualifier winners: AVULUS, Chimera Esports, Yakult Brothers, Talon Esports, and Wildcard. FISSURE PLAYGROUND #1, boasting a $1,000,000 prize pool, will take place in Serbia from January 24 to February 2. It marks the first tier-1 LAN tournament of 2025.

The organizers of ESL One Raleigh 2025 have revealed all the invited teams for the tournament. Out of 12 teams, direct invites were awarded to PVISION, BB Team, Team Falcons, and Team Liquid. The invitations were based on the ESL Pro Tour rankings. The remaining 8 tournament participants will be determined through regional qualifiers scheduled for January 16–20, 2025. The total prize pool for ESL One Raleigh 2025 is $1,000,000. The tournament will take place in the USA from April 7 to 13.

In the upper bracket final, Team Spirit confidently defeated 9Pandas 2:0, earning the region's first slot. The second slot will be decided following matches on January 9, where 9Pandas will face the winner of the Virtus.pro vs. Natus Vincere match. DreamLeague Season 25, with a $1,000,000 prize pool, will run from February 16 to March 2.

Team Spirit and PVISION have announced the transfer of carry player Satanic. The player joined PVISION on loan until the end of the current season. The team's previous carry, Crystallis, has been benched. As a result, the updated roster is as follows: Satanic, No[o]ne-, DM, 9Class, and Dukalis. The organizers of DreamLeague Season 25 have revealed the list of invited teams. The invites were extended to the ESL Pro Tour ranking leaders: PVISION, BB Team, Team Falcons, and Team Liquid. The remaining 12 participants will be determined through seven regional qualifiers. Western Europe will advance the top three teams, while MESWA, North America, and South America will each send one team. From China, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe, two teams will qualify per region. The first closed qualifiers started on January 7, and the final selection will conclude on January -11. DreamLeague Season 25 will take place online from February 16 to March 2, with a prize pool of $1,000,000.

Team Spirit has announced their Dota 2 roster for 2025. Carry player Yatoro and offlaner Collapse have returned to the active lineup after a break from professional play following The International 2024. Head coach Silent has also rejoined the active roster after a period of inactivity. In Yatoro's absence, carry player Satanic has been moved to the bench, while offlaner Malik left the team in December 2024. As of now, Team Spirit's lineup includes: Yatoro, Larl, Collapse, rue, Miposhka. The team will compete in the Eastern Europe qualifier for DreamLeague Season 25, scheduled from January 7 to 9.

Tundra Esports has announced a change in their Dota 2 carry position. Nightfall has been moved to the inactive roster, and dyrachyo has been signed as his replacement. Nightfall played for Tundra Esports for three months, from October to December 2024. During this time, the team participated in three tournaments: finishing 2nd at BB Dacha Belgrade 2024, 5th at DreamLeague Season 24, and 2nd at BLAST Slam I. The team also competed in the closed qualifiers for ESL One Bangkok 2024 but failed to secure a spot, finishing 5th in the qualifiers. Dyrachyo's previous team was Gaimin Gladiators. In October 2024, he was moved to their inactive roster before eventually leaving the organization, where watson replaced him. The updated roster of Tundra Esports is as follows: dyrachyo, bzm, 33, Saksa, and Whitemon.
