Xtreme Gaming Wins Clavision: Snow Ruyi

On August 4th, the LAN tournament Clavision: Snow Ruyi concluded in China.

The final match of the competition saw Team Spirit face off against Xtreme Gaming. Team Spirit secured first place in Group A, which allowed them to start the playoffs in the lower bracket semifinals. Xtreme Gaming finished third in Group B and began the playoffs from the quarterfinals, where they defeated Natus Vincere (2:1), G2 x iG (2:1), and Team Spirit (2:0) on their way to the grand final.

In the upper bracket semifinals, Team Spirit overcame LGD Gaming (2:0), but after losing to Xtreme Gaming, they were knocked down to the lower bracket. There, the team managed to secure a 2:1 victory against Team Spirit, earning a spot in the grand final where Xtreme Gaming was waiting.

Ame's team confidently started the best-of-5 grand final, earning a match point after winning the first two maps. Team Spirit managed to close the gap by winning the third map, but Xtreme Gaming dominated the fourth map with a score of 35:8, ultimately winning the grand final 3:1.

The total prize pool for Clavision: Snow Ruyi was $500,000. The winning team took home $152,500, while Team Spirit earned $90,000.
