LPL Spring Matches Postponed Once Again
Tencent Games, the organizer of the Chinese League of Legends league LPL, have announced that the final matches of LPL 2022 Spring Playoffs have been once again postponed. Now the competition is scheduled to resume on April 12th.
Earlier in late March the league was put on hold due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in China. Originally the organizers wanted to resume the matches tomorrow, on April 8th. The remaining matches of the playoffs stage will be played remotely. Now the schedule looks as follows:
Currently China, and especially its biggest city Shanghai faces a significant increase in COVID-19 cases. Thus, the government decided to introduce strict lockdown measures. Earlier a similar decision was made by the organizers of the Chinese Dota Pro Circuit league.
