Nigma Galaxy Win ESL Impact League 1

ESL’s first all-women CS:GO event ESL Impact League Season 1 has concluded with the victory of the mostly Russian roster of Nigma Galaxy. In the tournament’s grand finale they defeated the Brazilian team FURIA Esports with a 2-1 score, claiming $50,000 in prize money.

Both Nigma and FURIA started the competition in Group B, where they placed first and second respectively – in the group’s winner match Nigma defeated FURIA with a 19:17 score at Overpass. Later in the semifinals FURIA outplayed CLG Red (2-1), while Nigma managed to beat BIG (2-1). In the grand finals FURIA won the first map, Mirage, with a 16:14 score, but later was defeated at both Vertigo (5:16) and Overpass (7:16).

ESL Impact League Season 1 was held on June 3rd – 5th in Dallas, United States, alongside IEM Dallas. The first event of the ESL’s new all-women league featured a $123,000 prize pool. The results are following:

• 3rd-4th – $13,000 – CLG, BIG
• 5th-6th – $7,000 – Black Dragons, PSH
• 7th-8th – $4,000 – Mindfreak, ATK
