OG will not Participate in ESL One Fall 2021

OG director Juan M.R. Luna has announced that his team will not participate in the upcoming ESL One Fall 2021. He explained that the starting dates for the next season remain unknown, and the team is not sure if there will be enough time for rest after The International 10. For this reason, they are taking a break now.

Earlier OG placed 4th in the series’ previous event, ESL One Summer 2021. Last month they managed to win the Western European Qualifier for The International 10, defeating Tundra Esports (3:2) in its grand finals. Since then OG has not been competing in any tournaments and they are not listed for any upcoming events.

ESL One Fall 2021 is an online event with $400,000 stake, which will be played on August 21st – 29th. Out of 12 participants, currently only five are known – they are Alliance, Team Liquid, Team Spirit, T1 and Thunder Predator. The organizers will issue direct invites to another five teams, while the final two participants will be determined by the ongoing closed qualifier.
