Team Spirit’s Roster to Remain the Same for the Next Season
It appears that the champions of The International 10 – Team Spirit – have decided to stick together and continue playing with the same roster in the next season. It has been announced by the team’s captain Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov. He also has revealed that currently all members of the team are resting and it remains unknown when they will return to their training process.
Team Spirit managed to win The International 10 while being one of the tournament’s underdogs. Being the winners of the CIS qualifiers, Spirit started competing at TI10 in Group B, where they placed fourth with a 5-0-3 score. After losing to Invictus Gaming (1-2) in the first round of the upper bracket, Spirit managed to win five series in the lower bracket, where they outplayed Fnatic (2-0), OG (2-0), Virtus.pro (2-1), IG (2-0) and Team Secret (2-1).
In the grand finals they faced PSG.LGD, winning the first two and losing the following two maps, however managing to bounce back in the final one. This victory granted them over $18,208,300 in prize money.
Earlier we reported that another TI10 participant, Elephant from China, is going to retain its roster for the upcoming season.
